Terms of use and sale

Last updated: 22 October 2026

These terms apply to this website and to the digital guides sold by Obrigado-ish (Lisbon, Portugal). Contact: [email protected].

1. The products

Our products are digital files (PDF) with language and orientation content about everyday life in Portugal. Each guide comes in an A4 version, a US Letter version and a phone version. The descriptions and previews on this site show what each guide contains.

2. Buying

Purchases are made on Gumroad. Its checkout, payment and invoicing terms also apply (Gumroad terms). Prices on this site are in euros and are for guidance; the final price, including any taxes, is shown at checkout.

3. Delivery

You get access to the files right after payment. If you don't receive them, check your spam folder and then write to [email protected].

4. Right of withdrawal

For digital content not supplied on a physical medium, the 14-day right of withdrawal ends once the download starts with your prior consent and your acknowledgement that you lose that right (Decree-Law 24/2014, article 17(1)(m)). This doesn't affect your legal rights if a file is faulty: if a file is damaged, incomplete or doesn't match its description, write to us and we'll replace it or refund you.

5. Licence

6. Accuracy and no professional advice

We check our content carefully at the date of each edition, but rules, services and websites change. Always confirm important details with the official source. Our guides are language guides and are not legal, medical, tax, financial or immigration advice. In an emergency, call 112.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for decisions you make or losses that arise from using our guides or this website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

8. Links to other websites

This site links to Gumroad, social networks and official websites. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. The version that applies to a purchase is the one published on the date of that purchase.

10. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live. For complaints and alternative dispute resolution, see the legal notice.
